Spider Terms of Use

Rules for purchasing and spending Multator’s internal notional units.

These Terms govern the provision of paid features of the Multator online service (multator.org) and form an integral part of the Terms of Service. This text is a public offer (Article 437 of the Russian Civil Code); making a payment constitutes full and unconditional acceptance and confirms that the User read these Terms before paying and fully understands them.

1. Legal nature of spiders

A spider is a notional unit recording the scope of the User’s rights to use additional Service features under their non-exclusive license. One spider corresponds to one Russian ruble when topping up.

Spiders:

  • are not money, electronic money (Federal Law No. 161-FZ of June 27, 2011), digital financial assets or digital rights (Federal Law No. 259-FZ of July 31, 2020), digital currency, securities or other property or property rights separate from the Service;
  • cannot be exchanged for money; withdrawal from the Service is not provided, performed or demandable;
  • are not a deposit, savings or investment instrument, are not indexed and do not generate income;
  • exist solely as a record in the Service’s database and cease to exist with the account, relevant feature or Service.

By purchasing spiders, the User pays to expand the scope of their license, rather than acquiring goods, property or a claim against the Provider.

2. Topping up and when the service is delivered

  • Top-up rate: 1 spider = 1 Russian ruble.
  • The Provider determines the minimum and maximum payment amounts and available payment methods, displayed in the top-up form at the time of payment.
  • Payment is made in Russian rubles through the connected payment system. The Provider does not receive or store bank card details; the payment service processes them on its side under its own terms.
  • The license expansion service is considered fully and properly delivered when spiders are credited to the account balance. By making a payment, the User requests immediate delivery of the service and acknowledges being informed that once spiders are credited, the service is performed, the Provider’s obligations end through proper performance (Article 408 of the Russian Civil Code), and withdrawal from the contract for the service already delivered is not possible.
  • Spiders are credited after the Provider receives confirmation of successful payment from the payment system. Processing times are determined by the payment system and the User’s bank; the Provider is not responsible for them.
  • Payment documents are issued where and as required by Russian Federation law and sent to the email address in the account. The User must keep this address current and bears the consequences of providing an inaccurate or inaccessible address.
  • Topping up an account for a third party is at the payer’s risk: spiders are credited to the specified account owner and are not refunded to the payer.

3. Spending spiders

Paid features and their prices are listed in Spiders and in the interface of the relevant feature. Spiders are charged when the User confirms the action, and the charge is final.

  • Creator awards and profile gifts — a one-time action. Charged spiders are not credited to the recipient or refunded to the User, including if the recipient’s work, profile or account is subsequently deleted.
  • Featured spot — placement of a work in a dedicated block through an auction. A bid is charged when placed. If another User bids more, placement ends early and the charged spiders are neither refunded nor compensated. This is a material condition of the service that the User accepts before being charged.
  • Profile appearance (username color, avatar frame, profile theme) and the advanced editor — provided for the period shown at purchase. Early disabling, changing the design, account deletion, suspension or any other discontinuation initiated by the User does not pause the paid period or result in a recalculation.
  • Animation audio — a prepaid slot consumed on the first publication of a work with audio. Unused slots cannot be exchanged or refunded.
  • Contest prize pool — reserved when creating a contest or contributing, and distributed under Section 5.

The Provider may change the list, composition, price and duration of paid features and discontinue individual features. Changes apply to orders made after publication and do not alter services already delivered: a feature’s price and scope are determined when the User confirms the action, and any paid, unexpired duration remains on its original terms.

4. Transfers between users

  • Transferring spiders to another user is a gratuitous transfer of internal notional units, not a money transfer.
  • A transfer is final and irreversible. The Provider does not return transferred spiders under any circumstances, including deception, an incorrect recipient, or subsequent suspension or deletion of the recipient’s account, and does not review user disputes over the reasons or conditions of transfers.
  • Transfers must not be used to pay for goods, work or services outside the Service, sell spiders or accounts, split payments, cash out or carry out any scheme intended to bypass these Terms.
  • The Provider may set and change transfer limits (per transaction, daily and total), suspend transfers, decline them without explanation, request clarification from the User and restrict an account’s paid features upon detecting signs of the listed activities.

5. Contests

Contests are organized by users. The Provider is not the contest organizer, is not a party to the relationship between organizers and participants, and is not responsible for a contest’s content, good faith or outcome. It provides only the technical ability to account for a prize pool in spiders.

  • Spiders contributed to a prize pool are reserved and distributed under the rules announced on the contest page. Contributions are automatically refunded only in cases expressly provided for by the contest mechanics (fundraising failure, no entries, or cancellation before submissions open). No other grounds for a refund arise.
  • After the prize pool is distributed among winners, requests to refund contributions, revise results or pay a prize to someone else are not accepted.
  • The Provider may cancel a contest, prize or voting result if manipulation, collusion, additional accounts or other abuse is detected, or if legislation or the following rules are violated: Community Rules. Canceled spiders are not refundable.
  • Participation is free; a contest is not a lottery, gambling activity or bet.

6. Refunds

Since the service is delivered in full when spiders are credited to the balance (Section 2), payments are not refunded except in the cases expressly listed below.

  • Payment was charged but spiders were not credited. The service was not delivered: at the User’s request, the Provider credits the spiders or, at the Provider’s choice, refunds the payment.
  • Duplicate charge or another technical error on the Provider’s side. The excess amount is refunded or, with the User’s consent, credited as spiders.
  • A paid feature was not provided. Spiders are restored to your balance; a monetary refund is issued only if the feature cannot be provided.

In other cases, including a change of mind, dissatisfaction with the result, choosing the wrong feature or recipient, losing a contest, being outbid for the Featured spot, stopping use of the Service, User-initiated account deletion or suspension for a violation, money paid is not refunded and unused spiders are not compensated.

The Provider may, but is not obliged to, grant an individual request to refund an unused balance at its discretion. Such refunds deduct actual expenses (payment system transfer and refund fees), apply only to spiders credited from the User’s own payment, and cancel the remaining balance. Spiders received as gifts, prizes, bonuses, Provider credits or transfers from other users are never eligible for a monetary refund.

Send your request from the account’s email address to support@multator.org and include the username, date, amount and method of payment, payment ID and refund details. To identify the payer and avoid refunding a third party, the Provider may request proof that the account and payment method belong to the applicant. Refunds use the original payment method.

7. Payments by minors

By making a payment, the User represents (Article 431.2 of the Russian Civil Code) that they are at least 18 or act with the consent of parents or other legal representatives using funds provided for that purpose, and that the payment method is used with its owner’s consent. The Provider relies on this representation in good faith.

Reviewing a legal representative’s request requires payment identification details (date, amount and ID), documents proving the relationship or guardianship, the applicant’s identity document and proof that the payment method belongs to them. Without these, the Provider cannot establish the applicant’s identity or link the payment to the account. The Provider assesses the circumstances, including repeated payments and indications of abuse of rights (Article 10 of the Russian Civil Code).

If the request is granted, the parties return to their original positions: remaining spiders are canceled, features purchased with them are discontinued, and paid but unused amounts are refunded less actual expenses.

8. Abuse and suspension

Users must not dispute payments with a bank or payment system (chargeback) without first contacting the Provider, use another person’s, stolen or compromised payment methods, exploit technical errors to obtain spiders, create transactions to obtain refunds or otherwise seek unjustified benefits.

The Provider may, without prior notice:

  • suspend balance transactions and access to paid features during an investigation, without compensation for the suspension period;
  • cancel spiders credited by mistake, through a failure, vulnerability exploitation, fraud or a disputed payment, including if they have already been spent or transferred;
  • terminate the contract and suspend the account, including indefinitely, for a material breach of its terms (Article 450 of the Russian Civil Code);
  • recover losses and provide information about the User and their transactions to a bank, payment system and law enforcement agencies.

9. Discontinuation of features and the Service

The Provider may discontinue an individual paid feature or the entire Service by notifying users through any available means at least 30 calendar days in advance. During the notice period, the User may spend remaining spiders on available features. By purchasing spiders, the User accepts this risk: spiders unused at discontinuation are canceled, and losses or lost profits are not compensated.

An account unused for more than 24 consecutive months may be deleted along with its balance. Notice is sent to the account email at least 30 days in advance; signing in during that period cancels deletion.

10. Liability

The Provider is not liable for lost profits, actions of users, payment systems or banks, unavailability of the Service or loss of data.

For Users who are not consumers, including those using the Service for business purposes, the Provider’s aggregate liability is limited to the amount that User actually paid for paid features during the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

For consumers, the Provider’s liability is governed by Russian Federation law; these Terms do not limit rights established by its mandatory provisions.

11. Taxes

The Provider fulfills its own tax obligations concerning payments received. Spiders cannot be exchanged for money or withdrawn from the Service, so receiving them as a gift, prize or transfer does not constitute monetary income for the User. The User determines any other tax consequences independently.

12. Complaints and disputes

Send complaints to support@multator.org. The review period is 30 calendar days, or the statutory period for claims subject to a different deadline. Contacting us before going to court usually resolves matters faster.

Disputes are resolved under Russian Federation law. These Terms apply together with the Terms of Service, Community Rules and Privacy Policy. Invalidity of an individual provision does not invalidate the remaining provisions.
